Spin the spinner, move the tokens, count the spaces, complete the picture puzzle. What fun! Children choose a butterfly, chicken, plant, or frog puzzle, then collect four tiles to complete the life cycle. Some stages (the caterpillar stage of a butterfly, for example) will be familiar to young children. Good picture clues help with less familiar stages — a plant seed is underground, the frog’s eggs are in a pond. Lovely artwork! Obvious differences between the four living things make this is an unusually good learning game. Younger children play with the picture-side up; older children flex their memories by playing concentration-style, with the cardboard tiles face down. Heavy cardboard game pieces. 2-4 players.
